About Me
Jocelyn King-DeLay
M. Ed., LCMHCS, LCAS, CCS, MAC
Therapist, Clinical Supervisor and Consultant
I was born and raised in Asheville, NC. I obtained my BA Degree from The Ohio State University in Criminology and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. After practicing in the field over 25 years, I moved back to the mountains. I have been practicing in the area since 2018. I chose this career path after working in the criminal justice system for almost 10 years. My goal has been to prevent issues from developing in people whenever possible and to assist them with working through existing barriers to positive health and personal success. I feel that using creativity is important in counseling. Individuals can benefit from utilizing their strengths, talents, mindfulness, and meditation to achieve their goals, reduce anxiety and depression and eradicate addictions.
I enjoy working with all cultures, and all gender identifications. What is most important is assisting individuals with navigating life’s challenges and blockages. I work with artistic individuals who may feel their creativity is blocked. Anxiety and depression, relationship, marital and career issues are also areas that often need experienced attention and care.
